Matheson on Kearns is a six-storey mixed use development with 46 residential apartments, a café, a restaurant and office area. The development is located in Ardross and was completed in March 2022.
Working closely with the project developer, design teams and builder, Bright Connect was responsible for the design and implementation of the community energy network. Bright Connect’s input into the electrical infrastructure design resulted in a significantly reduced power headworks charge for the developer.
In addition to a sophisticated smart electricity metering solution, Bright Connect also incorporated the metering for the centralised hot water system and cold water metering.
The building is equipped with a 33kW solar PV system, funded by Bright Connect, which provides residents with greener electricity and avoids the equivalent of 36 tonnes of CO2 emission annually.
Bright Connect also managed the installation of superfast broadband into the building which provides occupants with speed plans of up to 1,000MBPS.
